The Refuge has quickly become one of the most well-known restaurants in Manchester and is looking for a Bars & Restaurant Operations Manager to lead, drive and inspire our very passionate and very large team.

Have you met Jack? He is our Restaurant & Bars General Manager.

Working with Jack, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Restaurant & Bar service; you will also be instrumental in the direction of the Bar & restaurant moving forward. This one-of-a-kind restaurant space has been reimagined to deliver modern, European, eclectic food in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

Using the best local ingredients, our food takes inspiration from around the globe - with a few stops closer to home.

To succeed in this role as a Bars & Restaurant Operations Manager, you will need:

• To have been part of a very successful management team running a Restaurant or Bar, we would be especially interested in hearing from people from outside the hotel sector.
• Knowledge of Restaurant systems – like it or not, this is part of our role
• Have been successful in managing a restaurant or bar function which operates at levels of a 130 cover restaurant, which can be turned around at least once a night, with a bar area which regularly can see up to 4000 people an evening, add in to this our private dining, Den & Winter garden this is a large operation and needs someone who can make this their own and lead our team along this busy journey
• Experience in events would be a plus, we are known globally for our street parties and our bespoke weddings.. don’t worry about this too much, we have our own Refuge twist on this, so all will be made available to you upon appointment.
