Job Description

As a Bartender at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, you will be responsible for serving up innovative drinks and providing expert recommendations tailored to guest preferences. This role requires a deep knowledge of mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, combined with the ability to engage guests in casual conversation and create a dynamic bar atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages to guests according to hotel standard drink recipes.

Engage guests in conversation and provide recommendations based on their preferences.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.

Manage inventory and ensure the bar is stocked with glasses, ingredients, and other supplies.

Verify the identification and age of customers to determine appropriate service in compliance with state and local regulations.

Utilize creativity to design new and unique cocktails and menu offerings.

Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bartender with knowledge of mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation practices.

Familiarity with state and local laws concerning alcohol consumption and safety.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight and remain standing for extended periods.

Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages based on state requirements.
