Summary

Be part of our talented Culinary team as Pastry Cook at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa. Located in Greater Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is completing a property-wide renovation and up-branding from Regency to Grand.

A Pastry Cook is responsible for creating, preparing, producing and baking all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.

Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.

Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product.

Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, with the guidance of the Pastry Chef.

Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.

Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications.

Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items.

The hourly pay-range for this position is $17.25 - $20.70. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in the pastry making industry preferred.

Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques and methods

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Riverside County Food Handlers License.

Schedule availability to work weekends, and holidays.
