Good news from Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Hey guys, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are back in business!

job in dubai

I just got a call from Grand Hotel Al Manzel Abu Dhabi, and they are hiring!!! It seems that the Hospitality Industry in the UAE is about to reopen by the end of September!

Great news not only for tourists but as well for ex-pats and other employees currently laid off!

It's been months since the Coronavirus hit the world, and Dubai got hit hard. So many people lost their jobs, and many more stayed employed on reduced wages and working times.

The road to full recovery is long and bumpy, though! The airline industry has slowly resumed operations. Most hotels are waiting for some clarity on the market before they start hiring. Others have downsized drastically. A few major attractions are open for tourists, the restaurants are also allowed to operate but are encouraged to work mostly for take-outs. Guests that want to sit in will be allowed to eat inside, though.

Although Dubai has been open for business since the 7th of July, the tourists are not yet coming!

Concerned for their safety and worrying about all the restrictions imposed, the tourists are adamant to return to Dubai!

Everyone should have a negative PCR test at least 96 hours before arrival or will have to undergo one at the airport. The ones who test positive will be isolated in a government facility at their own expense.

Masks are to be used at all times. Not everything is yet open for business.

All those uncertainties and inconveniences are putting a brake on the tourism industry right now.

the situation in Dubai is tough

It is a tough situation!

The World Expo Dubai 2020 has been rescheduled for October 2021.

Everyone is running out of money, companies, and households alike.

The expectations are that the locals will drive the demand up before the end of the year. Then the magic of Dubai will attract the international guests with its shimmering lights and...low room rates for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

What's ahead for UAE?

Dubai is expected to recover faster than other GCC markets thanks to the World Expo that is going to open in October 2021 and end in March 2022. It will take much longer for the occupancy rates and room rates to rise to the levels of 2019. The forecast is for market stabilization by 2024-2025. All this is with a big question mark because of the uncertainty of the Coronavirus situation.

guests expectations

Guests' expectations

There is no doubt that with the reopening of the Hospitality Industry and the return of the international tourists, a new type of expectation will present the management with challenging adjustments! It will be interesting to see how the different brands will respond to these challenges. Restaurant service, as we know it, could no longer exist. The guests will be looking for more protection and safety. All existing service standard operating procedures will have to be transformed to meet the guests' demands and expectations. Whoever adjusts better to these new trends will survive and thrive! Those who don't will most likely fail!

The future is bright!

There is no denying that in the long run, the future of Dubai and the Gulf countries is bright!

dubai future

The fact that hotels are starting to hire back workers means the management expects a rise in business by the end of the year!

The world is searching for a cure against the virus and all the positive factors from before the pandemic are going to be present after the pandemic! The tourist industry as a whole will be once again booming, and Dubai will once again be the front runner.

Are you searching for a job in the UAE?

If you are currently without a job you should be searching for any job and finding one in Dubai will be a great opportunity no matter what country you are coming from.

The good thing is that Dubai is an open country and they are allowed to hire people from all over the world! Even waiters with no experience sometimes could land a job abroad if they have the proper education, certificates, and excellent English.
